Stanley began drinking heavily when he was in the twelfth grade. From a positive way of looking at things, even though he drank excessively and abusively when he was a teen and a young adult, when he got beyond the age of thirty he almost always drank in moderation.

After he completed his education he eventually landed a job at a local auto assembly plant where he applied himself and worked his way up from stock person, to office assistant, to purchasing assistant, to purchasing manager. Unlike his other positions, as the purchasing manager he frequently took potential vendors and existing vendors to lunch and to a variety of sporting events.

Though it was not written in stone, meeting with potential vendors and existing vendors repeatedly involved situations in which alcohol was present. In fact, over the past seventeen months, Stanley had started to considerably increase his social and his work-related drinking. This has led to a predicament. Namely, the more successful he became as a purchasing agent, the more heavily he began to drink.

His Increasing Bouts of Depression Also Made Him Question if He Was Becoming Addicted To Alcohol

In truth, it didn’t take long at all before Stanley’s drinking started to affect his health, the money in his savings account, his relationships, his mental health, and his work efficiency. At one point, Stanley, in reality, started to get nervous about his abusive and careless drinking and questioned if his alcohol related problems were alcoholism signs. Moreover, his almost constant feelings of depression also made him question whether he was becoming an alcohol addicted person. In short, Stanley clearly needed to learn more about the facts about alcohol abuse and alcohol dependency.

Stanley Needs Alcohol Detox and Alcohol Treatment For His Alcoholism and a Medical Assessment Regarding His Depression

So Stanley used his reasoning skills, called his doctor, and set up an appointment for a thorough physical exam. A week later after seeing his healthcare professional, Stanley regrettably learned that he was dependent on alcohol. His doctor informed Stanley that he needed to get alcohol detox and alcohol treatment for his alcohol dependency and that he also needed to get treatment for his depression. In short, Stanley needed treatment for his alcoholism and depression.

The Positive News is That After His Treatment For Depression and For Alcohol Addiction, He Felt Like a New Person

His healthcare professional suggested to Stanley that he request a two-month leave of absence from work and get registered into a quality in-patient alcohol rehab program where his depression could also be evaluated and treated. This is specifically what Stanley did. The positive news is that after his treatment for depression and for alcohol dependency, he felt like a new person. In actual fact, now that he was living an alcohol-free life he rarely got depressed and he now understood how to more successfully and productively manage his health, his relationships, his finances, and his job.

To no one’s wonder, the most difficult “test” Stanley met was at work. Simply put, he still took his existing vendors and potential vendors to various sporting events and to lunch, but after his alcohol treatment he managed to refrain from drinking while entertaining his clients.

It can be emphasized that Stanley also learned that none of his potential vendors or his existing vendors thought any less of him because of his alcohol-free lifestyle. Alternatively, he discovered that his potential vendors and existing vendors respected him for staying strong to his convictions.

Stanley’s Better Health, Finances, Work Performance, and the Better Relationships He Experienced More Than Made Up For His Love of Drinking

After Stanley went through alcohol treatment, however, he discovered that he was an individual who for whatever reason, could not drink in moderation or drink responsibly. In actual fact he found out the hard way that if he refrained from drinking, all of the other meaningful parts of his life would be upgraded. Every so often, Stanley missed drinking, but the better finances, health, relationships, and the better work performance he experienced more than counterbalanced his love of drinking.

If you are like so many other people who have woken up to the concept of above ground swimming pools then there are a few things that you may want to consider before you get started shopping around. For one thing,  above ground swimming pools offer far more affordable options than a standard cement built in and you may want to consider them all prior to making your purchase.

A Complete Above Ground Pool Kit

To start with, the first decision you are going to have to make is whether to purchase your pool and all its components separately or combined in a package. As far as savings go, you are much better off with a package. However; if you plan on adding custom features such as a solar pool heater you may want to opt to make separate purchases.

You May Want a Smaller Pool for Young Kids

People often tend to assume that bigger is better when it comes to above ground swimming pools but this is far too often simply not the case. For instance, if your pool is primarily to be used by younger children you may want to consider a smaller pool with no deep end.

Smaller Above Ground Pools Are Cheaper to Accesorize

You will not only save money on the initial purchase of a smaller pool but because of its smaller size it will be far more affordable to accessorize. A complete, prefabricated, natural wood, wrap around deck will be cheaper to buy as will the smaller safety cover for the pool.

Kids do Require Safety Features

Also, with the savings you can bring a nice pool slide as well as a custom “coral reef” pool liner into the equation which the kids will love. With these savings on the entire project you can well afford the safety features you will need for smaller kids such as a deluxe retractable pool ladder and a fence.

Take a Look Through a Child’s Eyes

Then there are all the great pool toys that are now available to choose from. It is important to remember that kids have a completely different outlook on swimming pools that adults do. For kids above ground swimming pools are play areas and they often prefer a shallow pool that they can stand up in safely and comfortably.
